My first trip to the Caribbean was everything I had dreamt it would be. White sand, crystal clear blue water, endless sky...the list goes on. One of my favorite parts of the trip was the visit I made to the Botanic Gardens on Grand Cayman. It is also a sanctuary for the Grand Cayman Blue Iguana, and the only place in the world where this species of iguana can be found. I found the tropical plants astounding, and thoroughly enjoyed re-living my journey while working on my paintings. The watercolors were done on-site...poolside, beachside, you name it!
