Nosey People!

Today I met with a fantastic man who is changing the landscape of education in the city, and we were brainstorming about all the cool stuff we could do together over coffee at Starbuck's. I brought in a rough, unfinished exhibit model I've been working on and planning on using for fundraising purposes, to give him an idea of what it is I'm trying to do, and as I was bringing the sculpture in, three women sitting at a nearby table began to ask me about it. I was a little coy at first. I dont want to assume that EVERYBODY has heard about what I'm doing, so I said it was a model for a project in the planning phase. And to my delight, they already knew about The Junkyard! They took out their phones, and tweeted pictures of me holding the sculpture, and of Lilly standing with me, who is on Spring Break this week (thank goodness we changed out of our pajamas before leaving the house). Anyway, through word of tweet, I was interviewed for Parent Magazine today for the April issue, so be on the look out! Wanna see the sculpture in it's VERY raw form???
